Man charged after alleged Allentown stabbing

29-year-old charged in stabbing of roommate in Allentown

City police have charged Darrell Epps with simple assault and aggravated assault. The stabbing happened at about 8 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of North Ulster St., said Capt. Glenn Granitz.

The victim, an adult male, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. He remained Sunday in serious, but stable condition, Granitz said.

Its unclear what led to the altercation or the weapon used in the incident. There were no other reported injuries.

Epps was arraigned Saturday before District Judge Michael DMore, who set bail at $100,000. In lieu of bail, Epps was taken to the Lehigh County jail.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A man was charged after allegedly stabbing another man in Allentown Saturday morning.

Allentown Capt. Glenn Granitz said the incident occurred at 8:00 a.m. in the 800 block of North Ulster Street.

Shortly after the incident, police arrested Darrell Epps, 28. Epps was charged with aggravated assault and simple assault.

Epps was arraigned by Judge Michael D' Amore Saturday night. He is being held in Lehigh County jail.
