Bridgeport Man Taken Into Custody For Punching Man, Stealing $3.5K Chain Near Beach, Police Say

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – A Bridgeport man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly assaulting and robbing another man in a Milford parking lot back in April. 

Police say that at around 7:15 p.m., officers took 20-year-old Khalil Abdul-Hakeem into custody on an active arrest warrant from an incident that happened on April 29th of this year. 

Abdul-Hakeem is accused of assaulting a man in the parking lot across from Gulf Beach by punching him in the chest. He then allegedly stole a gold chain off of the victim's neck, which is valued at $3,500.
