COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – The Richland County Coroners Office has identified the two people who died during an apparent assault late Wednesday.
The incident happened on Nov. 7 at 1300 Whispering Pines Road in Columbia before 10:30 p.m. The Richland County Sheriffs Department says deputies were called to the home in response to a fight in progress.
According to the coroners office news release, Jasmine Richardson, 24, of Hopkins, died at the scene as a result of homicidal violence. More information is being withheld at this time because of the investigation.
An autopsy showed Richardson died due to homicidal violence, according to the Richland County Coroners Office. Montgomery died due to gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to an autopsy.

Brennan M. Montgomery, 25, also of Hopkins, died at the hospital early Thursday morning from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Two are dead after being involved in a fight Wednesday night in Columbia, according to a statement from the Richland County Sheriffs Department.
Jasmine Richardson, 24, and Brennan M. Montgomery, 25, both of Hopkins, died after the incident, which happened between 10:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on the 1300 block Whispering Pines Road, according to the coroners office.
Deputies were called to the area to respond to a fight, according to the sheriffs department. When they arrived, one person was already dead, and another had to be taken to a hospital.
While details about the actual assault are scant, the coroner found that Richardson died at the scene. The cause of death was due to homicidal violence, according to the coroners office.

Montgomery was taken from the scene to Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital after being shot multiple times in the upper body, according to the coroners office. He died early Thursday morning of his injuries.
