STOCKPORT, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting on Pat's Lane in Stockport Sunday.
According to Sheriff David Bartlett, one man was taken to Albany Medical Center after the shooting around 5:00 p.m. Sunday. The victim was in surgery Sunday night, but officials have not confirmed if his injuries were life-threatening.
"My investigators, as well as my ID tech team, will be coming to this house to work on the house to gather any evidence that is still inside," explained Sheriff Bartlett. "Investigators are currently speaking to an individual who was also at the home during the time of the shooting."
STOCKPORT — The Columbia County Sheriffs Office is investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital Sunday.
Sheriff David P. Bartlett said deputies were dispatched at about 5:38 p.m. to a resident on Pats Lane, for a report of a shooting.
Arriving deputies found a male victim who had been shot, inside the residence. He was taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center, where he is undergoing surgery for his injury.
The sheriff said there is no danger to the public regarding the incident, and investigators are interviewing all individuals involved.
The investigation is continuing. The New York State Police and the Columbia County District Attorneys Office are assisting.
