Pedestrian injured after being hit by Concord school bus

Concord Community Schools administrators were made aware of an incident involving one of the districts buses Monday morning. No students were injured.

The incident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. Monday on C.R. 113, near the intersection of Surrey Lane. The Concord Community Schools Police Department responded to the scene, followed by Elkhart County Sheriffs Department officers.

According to officers, an adult was walking along the side of the road when the side mirror of the bus struck the individual. The individual was transported to a hospital by emergency personnel.

The bus was carrying students from Concord Junior High School and Concord High School. There were no injuries on the bus. Students were transported by another bus and driver to the schools. State and district protocols for bus-related incidents were followed.

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) – One person was taken to the hospital Monday morning when a mirror from a Concord school bus hit them.

It happened at around 7 a.m. on C.R. 113 near Surrey Lane. The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The bus was carrying students from Concord Junior High School and Concord High School. None of the students was injured. The students were taken by another bus and driver to the school.
