Boston Celtics: Marcus Morris making early claim for Sixth Man award

With Garden Report co-host, Jeff Goodman, returning to TD Garden for the first time since last seasons game 7 loss to the Cavs, we couldnt resist getting his initial impressions on Hayward and how he is progressing.

Smart has been dealing with a hand injury but is also struggling to find playing time as the Celtics backcourt is loaded this season. Smart will have a hard time finding fantasy value unless there are some injuries and the 24-year-old guard is only worth owning in deeper fantasy leagues.

We discussed everything from how long we need to wait until starting to panic and whether it would help Gordon to be moved to the bench.

Marcus Smart scored three points on 0-for-2 shooting with four rebounds, two assists, and two steals as the Celtics beat the Pistons by a 108-105 score.

The Boston Celtics are a deep, versatile basketball team and no player on the team symbolizes that more than Marcus Morris.

A player that would probably start for most teams across the NBA, the outspoken, trigger happy forward has been a bright spot for the Celtics so far this season.  Averaging 12.4 points and 7.4 rebounds off the bench, Morris is a major reason the team is 5-2 to start the season after an underwhelming start.
