Police ID man, 42, gunned down on Paterson street

Authorities in Passaic County are seeking the publics help as they seek suspects in the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old Paterson man last week.

Marco Bishop was found lying face down in the street on the 900 block of East 25th Street in Paterson around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, the Passaic County Prosecutors Office said.

Authorities are seeking help from the public to solve the homicide. Authorities identify Paterson man killed in East 25th Street shooting

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announced that the victim of the homicide which occurred near 968 East 25th Street in the City of Paterson has been identified as Mr. Marco Bishop, 42, from Paterson.

Authorities said Bishop was found lifeless and lying in the street in the area of 968 East 25th Street at around 1:32 a.m. on May 9, 2019.

According to officials, on May 16, at approximately 1:32 a.m, police officers responded to the area of 968 East 25th Street in the City of Paterson in response to a report of a deceased male lying in the street.

Police officers found him with an apparent gunshot wound lying face down in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Upon their arrival, reports say that the officers discovered Mr. Bishop with an apparent gunshot wound lying face down in the street, where he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
