Two 12-year-olds arrested after threat to Rockford school

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) —– Police arrested two minors in connection to threats made at a Rockford school.

Around 10 Thursday morning, officers responded to Jackson Charter School on Summit Street about a threat some students made about shooting up the school.

Investigators determined a 12-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl were responsible for the threats. The two minors were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

ROCKFORD (WREX) — Two 12-year-olds face charges after a threat was made to Jackson Charter School on Thursday.

Officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to the school around 10 a.m. for a report of students talking about ‘shooting up the school.’

A 12-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl face charges of disorderly conduct. They were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
