Greene County detectives identify man found dead west of Springfield

NEAR SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Greene County Sheriffs Department is investigating a death west of Springfield. Officers responded to a home in the 3200 block of West Clifton Tuesday evening. A person in that area found a mans body.

The deceased man has been identified as 26 year old, Jeremiah W. Luttrell of Springfield. Luttrell was reported missing with the Springfield Police Department on September 4, 2018.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Greene County Sheriff's Office is conducting a death investigation in the 3200 block of Clifton Avenue, according to their Twitter page.

Investigators say this is an ongoing investigation, and an autopsy will be conducted. Anyone with information regarding Luttrells disappearance or death is asked to contact the Greene County Sheriffs Office.

The sheriff's office says Jeremiah W. Luttrell, 26, Springfield, was found Wednesday night near Clifton and Rockwood, which is south of Battlefield Road and east of Scenic. 

Investigators say Luttrell had been reported missing to Springfield police back on September 4th. 

An autopsy will be done on the body, and authorities are asking anyone with information on Luttrell's disappearance or death to contact the Greene County Sheriff's Office.
