Motorcyclist killed in Springfield crash with car

Part of Parker Street in Springfield closed after serious crash

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A section of Parker Street was blocked off as police worked to determine how a motorcyclist died in a serious accident involving a car Thursday night.

Springfield police spokesman Ryan Walsh told 22News the serious crash happened near 800 Parker St., not far from Sunny Brook Road.

A 22News crew on Parker St. saw a car crashed into a tree, a motorcycle on the ground and a body bag.

Police had blocked the roadway with yellow caution tape. “Find alternate routes if possible,” Walsh told 22News at the time.

The driver of the car involved in the deadly crash stayed at the location and cooperated with police.
