Police: 13-year-old rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the back

Police said they responded to West Onondaga Street just after 5:30 on Sunday, November 25th , right off of Lydell Street on the southwest side of the city.

According to police, the victim was found and rushed to Upstate University Hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening, police said.

Officers said the victim told them the stabbing happened on Richmond Avenue, but did not offer more any information.

WSYR – On Sunday at approximately 5:35 p.m., Syracuse Police responded to a call about a stabbing in the 1500 block of W. Onondaga Street.

The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital for treatment. His injury is not considered to be life threatening.

The victim stated that the incident occurred on Richmond Avenue, and that he went to the 1500 block of W. Onondaga Street to report it.

Police say the victim was uncooperative with the investigation and refused to provide any additional details about his injury. At this time, there is no suspect information available.
