Syracuse, N.Y. — It will be a Boeheim family affair when the Syracuse University mens basketball team faces Cornell during the 2019-20 season.
Syracuse will host its longtime Upstate New York rival on Nov. 20, 2019, according to a release from the university. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
The Syracuse-Cornell game will pit Syracuse sophomore Buddy Boeheim against his brother, Jimmy, who will be a junior at Cornell. Of course, Buddy and Jimmys father, Jim, will be in his 44th year as Syracuses head coach.
Last season, Syracuse beat Cornell 63-55. Buddy Boeheim scored three points in the Oranges win, while Jimmy had nine points, six rebounds and four assists for the Big Red.

Syracuse leads the all-time series with Cornell 93-31 with the Big Reds last win in the series coming in the 1968-69 season.

On Sunday, May 19th two Syracuse basketball legends will be inducted into the Upstate New York Basketball Hall of Fame, per the official Syracuse press release.
Jim Lee spent three years on the varsity Syracuse basketball squad from 1972 through 1975. He averaged just under 14 points per game (13.4) and is a member of the elite 1,000 point scoring club for the Orange.
