Syracuse, N.Y. — It will be a Boeheim family affair when the Syracuse University mens basketball team faces Cornell during the 2019-20 season.

One of those near-guaranteed foes would be the Cornell Big Red — especially lately given the fact that Jim Boeheims son, Jimmy, plays for Cornell.

Syracuse will host its longtime Upstate New York rival on Nov. 20, 2019, according to a release from the university. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Syracuse is 93-31 all-time against the Big Red, taking 39 straight games dating back to 1969. While they havent faced off EVERY year, its been an annual series since 2013. The Orange beat Cornell at the Dome last season in a 63-55 game that was way too close for comfort. It was the first of these matchups to feature three Boeheims, as Buddy was a freshman for SU last year.

The Syracuse-Cornell game will pit Syracuse sophomore Buddy Boeheim against his brother, Jimmy, who will be a junior at Cornell. Of course, Buddy and Jimmys father, Jim, will be in his 44th year as Syracuses head coach.

Last season, Syracuse beat Cornell 63-55. Buddy Boeheim scored three points in the Oranges win, while Jimmy had nine points, six rebounds and four assists for the Big Red.
