SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A Syracuse man has been accused of threatening to kill St. Josephs Hospital Health Center employees in an advertisement on Craigslist, according to New York State Police.
Daniel W. Bradley, 38, was charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony, state police said in a news release Tuesday.
A concerned citizen in the Syracuse area called state police Saturday to report that she had viewed a Craigslist advertisement in which an individual was threatening to kill employees of the hospital.
During the next few hours, another concerned citizen in the Utica area called state police reporting that he had viewed the same ad, state police said.
State police immediately contacted St. Josephs security personnel alerting them about the post and the state police investigation, police said.
With the assistance from the Craigslist Legal Department on Monday, officers identified Bradley as the person responsible for the advertisement.
Bradley was arrested Monday and was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center for arraignment.
State Police Counter Terrorism Intelligence Unit, Syracuse Police Department and St Josephs security assisted with the investigation.
